Today is Day 21 of 33

Anchored in Hope

Hebrews 6:19

We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain.

God, anchor my soul in You. When the waves of life crash and uncertainty rises, hold me steady with the hope that never fails, in Jesus name, Amen.
Life can feel like a storm with no shoreline in sight. Plans fall apart, people let you down, and the future looks foggy. Without an anchor, you drift wherever the waves push you. But Scripture says hope is the anchor of the soul, sure and steadfast, holding firm no matter how rough the water gets. This is not flimsy wishful thinking; it is hope rooted in God who never changes. An anchor does not stop the storm; it keeps you from being swept away by it. When everything around you shifts, your hope in Christ holds. The trends will fade, the seasons will change, and circumstances will rise and fall, but your anchor stays planted. Hold tight to that hope. It will keep you steady when nothing else will.
Write down one promise from God to hold onto today, and return to it whenever uncertainty starts to pull at you.
  • What storm are you facing right now?
  • Where do you tend to drift when life gets hard?
  • What hope keeps you anchored?
  • How can you hold onto God’s promises this week?
